You
know there are many types of pollution but the main are air pollution and water
pollution. Air pollution has a great link between global warming and it is
affecting the entire world rapidly. To get control on global warming is
necessary for us. If we talk about the water pollution, generally it produced,
when the polluted water of various factories pollutes the sea, and just because
of this many sea creatures died. On the other hand, when this polluted water of
factories passes through any fertile land it becomes barren and after that
cultivation it wouldn't be able to grow crops because it lost its fertility. So
that's a big deal!
Now
let's talk about some air pollution, now the factories and industries are also
involved in it! The "injurious smoke" released by these factories and
industries goes into the atmosphere which is destroying the ozone layer in the
atmosphere, ozone which is becoming weak day by day, now you would be thinking
that what would happen if this ozone layer becomes weak? Well it's a bad news
for the entire world that when the ozone layer becomes weak, obviously it will
stop its work and many fatal diseases will take place because this layer is
protecting the world by blocking ultraviolet rays produced by the sun.
Especially eye diseases and most dangerous, cancer will spread all over the
world!
FOREST:
While
talking about the forests let me tell you one thing, our main aim is to tell
you about condition of forests in Pakistan. In Pakistan deforestation is on
peak. According to scientists, in any country 25% land should covered by
forests. In Pakistani texts books this percentage is 4.8% which has reduced to
2% according to the new survey of 2012. Now that's a shocking moment for us, we
all have to think about it!
The
main reason for deforestation is the low availability of natural gas in
Pakistan. Territories where is no natural gas, people cut the trees and burn
them to fulfill the gas needs. From this, Government of Pakistan is responsible
for deforestation, because if the government will give Natural Gas in all over
the Pakistan, no one will cut the trees and results will be fruitful.
Another
reason for deforestation is the manufacture of wooden furniture, and production
of furniture is increasing rapidly with the passage of time. There's a point
that "If we cut one tree or plant then we should grow 2 plants in
exchange of that tree or plant". This is the best way to keep up the
percentage in Pakistan.
Just
because of deforestation many types of plants and trees are at extinct and
52000 kinds of plants and trees are rare. Cutting of forests is not only bad
for us but it is also bad for wild life. I want to give you a shocking news
that the "spix's macaw" (Little Blue Macaw) which is
specie of parrots and belongs to Amazon Rainforest. Now the total number of
this specie in is reduced to just 131 approx.
There's
a forest of Juniper which is the world's 2nd largest forest,
which is in Pakistan. The area of that forest is also decreasing with the
passage of time. We know that a big area of Pakistan's forests involves
Northern areas. From last few years there's a big change in Juniper that's why
we definitely have to stop deforestation in northern areas.
In
Province Punjab, the most famous and large artificial forest is Changa
Manga which grown by British government. It is present at
70km away from Lahore (Capital of Punjab province). We know that the theft of
wood and corruption are on the peak in Pakistan that's why several times we had
listen news about wood corruption of Changa Manga, and just because of
ignorance of government the thieves aren't being captured.
In
Punjab, there's a small town named as Rabwah is
surrounded by hills, administration of Rabwah has taken some serious steps
about planting some plants and trees and they are working seriously on
planting, not only the administration of Rabwah, but also its citizens are also
trying their best to fulfill their duties.
While
talking about Rabwah, let's talk about its temperature. Its temperature is hot
and environment is dusty but because of trees and plants, there is a great
effect on temperature and environment of Rabwah. You'll see plants and trees in
this town everywhere. There's a nursery of plants and flowers and these pretty
flowers and plants reach in the hands of people.
The
rising temperature is now a big problem for us, not only in Pakistan it's in
the entire world. Cutting and shortage of forests in many places of world,
great use of cars and vehicles are creating huge problems. If we want to finish
and destroy the global warming, we must do three things.
- Plantation
- Promote the Natural Gas
vehicles
- The polluted smoke and water of
factories and industries should be filter from harmful materials.
This
time the entire world facing the issue of global warming so solving this
problem is also duty of whole world, especially the developed countries must
think about this problem. So from this we protect the entire world.
